Czura Thornton announces that it has secured financing to invest in Russia’s rapidly growing transport sector.

Czura Thornton plans to establish in the second half of 2008 Russia’s leading supplier and repairer of long haulage transport and construction equipment. Extensive planning has been completed, land secured, and key staff have been employed. A small existing operator will be purchased as part of the project and a new purpose built site will be completed in late 2008.

The project which will operate under the brand “PAN”, aims to be the largest operator in Saint Petersburg and Moscow within 3 years. PAN plans to offer a nation-wide truck and construction equipment sales, repair services, and parts distri bution business providing customers with year round service and ongoing maintenance. PAN will initially sell American long haul trucks and construction equipment.

Pan Motors announces it has been selected as an authorized Russian distributor for Titan Intertractor GmbH. Titan Intertractor GmbH is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers in the aftermarket construction parts business.

Rick Macy — Vice President, Russia

After 6 years in the US Navy, Rick started his career in international sales in the US defense manufacturing industry achieving over $30,000,000 in personal sales over a five year period. Moving to Russia in 1996, Rick led a mobile telephony start up business (now owned by TELE2) and progressed to more senior sales and marketing roles in the Russian telecommunications industry, including St. Petersburg based PeterStar Telecommunications, and Moscow based Comstar Telecommunications.

In 2002, Rick was selected by KPMG and the Russian Managers Association as the number 3 commercial manager in Russian telecoms and number 20 of the top 1000 commercial managers in Russia.

After successfully launching and managing the Moscow based boutique sales training company, Akademia in 2003, Rick joined St. Petersburg based YPI Yellow Pages (then a CT company) in 2005 as COO. In this role, Rick returned the company to profitability. As CEO of YPI Yellow Pages, Rick oversaw its merger into and the resulting rebranding with Moscow based Yellow Pages as CT exited. In 2009, Rick was appointed CEO of Pan Motors.

Rick has traveled to 63 countries, speaks Russian, holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of the State of New York and has served as the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in St.Petersburg, Russia.

Rick is based in St.Petersburg and also serves as Vice President, Russia for CzuraThornton.

Anna Sorokina — Chief Financial Officer

Before joining Czura Thornton and PAN Motors in 2008 Anna was the Chief Accountant of St.Petersburg Telecom, the Russian branch of TELE2 mobile operator. In the period 2000-2006 she worked for the offices of British Airways in Russia (Moscow, St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg) as a financial officer. She has managed several companies as chief accountant.

Anna graduated M.A from St.Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance in economics. She has various Russian certificates in tax advisory and accounting. She presently studies at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. Anna is based in St.Petersburg, Russia.
